Three Rivers Stadium was demolished in 2001

Three Rivers Stadium is the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League.
There is exactly one good thing about Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh... location, location, location. It is perched right at the confluence of the Ohio, Allegheny, and Monongahela Rivers, walking distance from downtown Pittsburgh. That walk is across a bridge over the river and a very pleasant journey it is... until you reach the ballpark.
This is an awful multi-purpose, artificial turf, way-big, way-ugly stadium. It has absolutely no character. It has very little fan-friendliness, either. On a scorching August evening, I could not buy a bottle of water in the ballpark. The only beverage choices were beer or soda. A dreadful place.
