IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND PLAYERS

Uniforms and Equipment
U5, U6 & U8 teams: The uniforms are available at Mount Kisco Sports, 7 S. Moger Avenue. The U5/U6/U8 uniform kit consists of a blue/white reversible shirt, black shorts, and socks.

U10, U12 and U14 teams will wear the new uniform design this year: The uniforms are available at Mount Kisco Sports (666-9600), 7 S. Moger Avenue for $35. The kit includes two shirts (white and blue), blue shorts and blue socks. All U10, U12 and U14 players are required to wear this new uniform.

Shoes: Soccer cleats are recommended for U5, U6 & U8 teams. Soccer cleats are required for U10, U12 and U14 teams. They can be purchased at Mount Kisco Sports or another athletic/department store. Also consider looking at used sporting goods stores for excellent deals on lightly used equipment.

Shin Guards: Players MUST WEAR shin guards at all practices and games. This is a national rule. Being accidentally kicked in the shins by a pair of cleats is no laughing matter. NO EXCEPTIONS! These can also be purchased at Mt. Kisco Sports or other athletic stores.

Jewelry: Players may not wear rings, watches, chains, necklaces, earrings or jewelry of any sort during practice or games.

Uniforms, shin guards or cleats in good condition can be donated back to Mount Kisco AYSO. Any families in need of a donated uniform or equipment can contact Beth Mannion 914-774-4693.

Parent Participation
We need your support and participation. Attend practices and games, cheer for all players on both teams as well as your own child. VOLUNTEER to help out, we did! A little bit of your help goes along way and there is something for everyone to do. AYSO provides free training, flexible schedules and a snazzy red shirt. Do it for the kids!

Practice and Attendance
Please make sure you arrive ON TIME for practice and games. Wear your uniforms and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! See attached sheet for the practice schedule. All Travel Team games (boys and girls U10, U12 and U14) which play other regions in Westchester County are scheduled for Sunday afternoons. Parents, if you drop off your children, please be prompt in picking up them up. U6 players should have a parent or guardian present at all times.

Referees
AYSO refs are entitled to respect from coaches, players, and spectators. Referee's calls should be accepted without complaint. Many refs have a child playing and they happily give their time to help out. Please show them the respect they deserve!

AYSO Philosophy
We subscribe to AYSO's philosophy of encouraging the growth of soccer while promoting positive child development. We are also committed to providing a "child-safe" program where children can develop in a safe, fair and fun environment. Although we naturally want our children to win, this desire should not be pursued to the exclusion of good sportsmanship, fair play and participation. BE A GOOD SPORT AT THE GAMES! Cheer on your child and support his/her efforts and those of the coach and team. ENJOY . . .
